For this I used underglaze powders on to a bisque fired plate which were then sprayed with glaze and fired for a final time. The powders were at times a little tricky to get a smooth even stroke although the effect gives a more painterly feel.
I wanted this plate to offer a moment of reflection, the face representing the people we often disregard. Is it fair to be sat in peace eating a meal whilst there are people suffering and without?
